A sexy romantic comedy about the boss you love to hate. And shag...Actually, is there such a thing as a hate-shag? My boss: Uptight. Straight-laced. American. Knobhead. If he calls me Ms. St Julien one more time, I might stab him in the eye with a pen. Also my boss: Sexy AF. Dirty-talker. Funny That tour of London I was supposed to be giving him kind of ended up in his bedroom. Oops. Which brings us to me: In WAY over my head. Need prosecco. And condoms.

A laugh-out-loud romantic comedy about trying to play it cool in a fake relationship with your real-life Hollywood crush. Bloody hell, I'm getting paid to flirt with Greyson Vaughn. Greyson-fricking-Vaughn! I mean, technically, I'm getting paid to pretend to be his "mysterious English girlfriend" for the weekend, but whatever. If I'm not all business, can you blame me? You've seen him. He's sexy like it's his job. Although I guess it sort of is his job as one of Hollywood's hottest actors. Still, I know that smolder he's turning on is just part of the plan to fool the paparazzi. But that kiss? Well, bugger me with a fish fork, I can feel it to my toes. Judging by the way he reacts, Greyson can too. And that's not part of the plan at all.

In Seven Pillars of Wisdom we have a timely book, and one that will remain timely into the foreseeable future. In Lawrence we have an impeccable witness; not a diplomat, not a politician, not a lobbyist, but a scholar and a soldier who embodied that vestige of chivalry that has now all but vanished. He records what he saw and what he undertook, living among those warriors whom he led in a manner seldom experienced by any other officer. Hence, Lawrence had empathy for the Arabs that will hopefully be of keen interest to the present generations who are fed a daily diet of Islamophobia and Arabophobia, literally 'anti-Semitism', since it is the Arabs who are the sons of Shem. The picture given by Lawrence is of a people very different from today's media and Hollywood stereotypes that are part of a propaganda offensive to justify a genocidal war against a people and a faith which could not only have co-existed with, but which could have remained as firm friends, with the West on the basis of the friendship that had been cultivated by Lawrence. As Seven Pillars shows, the 'West' and the Arabs and all of Islam are now embroiled in a conflict that has it's roots in the diplomatic duplicity during World War I, which has brought chaos to a large expanse of the world, and which shows no signs of abating in the lifetime of any reader of this book. Lawrence here sets the dramatic background against which this tragedy is being played out.

“An extraordinary achievement . . . a vision of hell so stern it cannot be chuckled or raged aside.”—The New York Times Book Review A classic of postwar American literature, Last Exit to Brooklyn created shock waves upon its release in 1964 with its raw, vibrant language and startling revelations of New York City’s underbelly. The prostitutes, drunks, addicts, and johns of Selby’s Brooklyn are fierce and lonely creatures, desperately searching for a moment of transcendence amidst the decay and brutality of the waterfront—though none have any real hope of escape. Last Exit to Brooklyn offers a disturbing yet hauntingly sensitive portrayal of American life, and nearly fifty years after publication, it stands as a crucial and masterful work of modern fiction. This ebook features an illustrated biography of Hubert Selby Jr. including rare photos from the author’s estate.

The rules for swimming are simple: Rule #1: There is no lifeguard on duty. Since her mom died three years ago, nineteen-year-old Zosia Easton's been treading water. Living at home. Community college. Same old Saturday nights. So when her father breaks the news he's taken a job transfer-and by the way, it means renting out the house that's been her refuge-a summer in Tokyo feels like it just might be a chance to start swimming again. Rule #2: Beware of unexpected currents. Finn O'Leary has spent God knows how many years trying to drown out his past. Juvenile detention. Bad decisions. Worse choices. He's managed to turn it around - MIT, Dean's List, a sexier-than-thou body with a smile to match - at least on the surface. When his mom asks him to spend the summer with her, Tokyo seems as good a place as any to float through the summer. Rule #3: Swim at your own risk.

For more than three decades Howard Barker has argued passionately against the deformation of English theatre by social realism. Insisting on the primacy of tragedy over all art forms in Western culture, his elaboration of a tragic form for our time – identified by him as The Theatre of Catastrophe – is the theme of this collection of lectures and essays. Barker’s repudiation of entertainment, his insistence on the sterility of debate in theatre, and his conviction that conscience is never an adequate pretext for dramatic action, mark him out as a unique and provocative voice in world theatre.

An extraordinary look at an ordinary dayJune 16, 1904in the life of a middle-aged Jewish man living in Dublin, Ireland. Leopold Bloom, who is sure that his wife is being unfaithful, must come to terms with how that affects their marriage and whether it changes the nature of their love for one another. Richly detailed stream-of-consciousness narration immerses the reader in the thoughts and emotions of the characters as they deal with the normal events of daily life in Dublin, as well as grander issues like sexuality, prejudice, birth, and death. This is an unabridged version of Irish author James Joyce's groundbreaking modernist tale, which parallels Homer's Odyssey. It was first published serially in the American journal The Little Review between 1918 and 1921, and published in novel form in 1922 in Paris.
